A song called “Hajji Girl”, recorded on video and later put on the internet has quite a few people up in arms. Apparently its damning proof our military is a bunch of heartless, blood-thirsty baby killers with no decency or sensitivity shown toward the Iraqi people or the Islamic Religion. Aren’t these accusations getting old yet? ROFASIX has the full story on the video.

Since 99.9% of people don’t know what “Hajji” means, I’ll tell you. Hajji or Al-Hajj (pilgrim) is a title of honor given to a Muslim who has successfully completed the Hajj, the trip to Mecca all Muslims must complete at least once in their lifetime. Contradictory to what most people think it is not derogatory. In fact, on some bases here there are shops run by the “locals” called “The Hajji Shop”. Granted, all the uproar over the video stems from the contents of the song and not the title, but I thought I’d set things straight anyway.
