Thank You!

To all of our supporters,

I write tonight not only to update you all on life at Walter Reed, but to also say THANK YOU!

First and foremost a thank you to the Hayward, WI community. On March 10, 2007 the community of Hayward threw a benefit concert for our family. To all who donated or attended a huge thank you. You are all amazing and there is something truly magical about your community. I wish we would have been able to attend but unfortunately our commitment to recovery at Walter Reed did not allow us to do so. We hear it was a great night and hope everyone who attended had a great time.

Thank you to the community of Lake Geneva, WI. There is an outpouring of support for a soldier who many of you have yet to meet. J.R. and I are forever grateful for your many acts of kindness.

Thank you to the members of Grace Lutheran Church. Your prayers support, and cards have been fantastic.

A huge thanks to all of those from the VFW for your constant support. We appreciate all of your hard work and we have so much respect for all of you. Your advice, knowledge, and desire to improve the system for other soldiers is acknowledged and welcome! Thank you for everything.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to our friends and families. Without you we couldn’t get through this. Thank you for all the late night phone calls, the open ears for venting, and the constant mail.

We apologize to all for the lack of posting. Life here in DC is very hectic. The days are long and often stressful. We both have our ups and downs as we learn how to deal with J.R.’s injuries. Everyday there is a new challenge and everyday we find a new solution. It’s a very long road but one day at a time we’ll get through it.

Again, thank you to everyone for your support. I can’t tell you how much it means to us both. Knowing that we don’t have to worry about where the money for rent or the food on the table is coming from takes away so much of our stress. We couldn’t get through this without your support. Thank you for being there.
